Isotonic 2:1 is the same basic formulation as EnergySource 2:1 - they are interchangeable as drinks. Isotonic 2:1 and EnergySource 2:1 both contain a 2:1 fructose ratio, which has been shown by research to provide up to 50% more fuel (energy) to the working muscles and deliver fluids substantially faster than traditional sports drink formulations*. Both Isotonic 2:1 and EnergySource 2:1 are suitable for racing in the heat. However, some athletes prefer a lower carbohydrate concentration in hot conditions. If you mix EnergySource 2:1 substantially weaker than recommended (perhaps at 6% instead of 10%), the taste and electrolyte content would not be optimal. Isotonic 2:1 is designed to be mixed at a 6% carbohydrate concentration and provides 800mg of sodium per litre. It can also be mixed weaker than this if desired.
